Arts for Transit Exhibit Space

 

Originally organized for display at Daily News building, then located at 220 East 42nd Street, the exhibit featured photographs, arranged thematically, of 42nd Street, selected from the Daily News archives. Following its run at the News building, I negotiated a transfer to the MTA’s Arts for Transit space, in the subway station at 42nd Street and Sixth Avenue, where the exhibit remained on view for several months.

This was one of three exhibits of Daily News photography I organized. The others were Marathon at the Citicorp Center Atrium, and a display of historic Daily News photographs in the News building lobby.
