I was chief writer of this members’ newsletter for more than a year, and also served as the museum’s interim creative services manager for four months, overseeing production of the newsletter and other publications. As chief writer, I was able to drawing on my skills and training as a journalist and a historian to describe exhibitions and programs in language that satisfied the curators’ passion for accuracy and nuance, while simplifying sometimes arcane concepts for a general readership.
